We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a high-performing team, delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions across sectors including chemicals, petrochemicals, oil and gas, and power generation.
Working for our client based in Sunderland, this is a full-time permanent opportunity, ideal for an experienced engineer to take on a leadership role, driving technical excellence and delivering impactful solutions as a Senior Electrical Engineer, in return for a comprehensive benefits package.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Leading electrical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with legal and client requirements
- Providing technical expertise for the specification, design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems
- Troubleshooting and conducting root cause analysis for electrical systems
- Acting as Lead Engineer on projects, managing resources and ensuring timely delivery
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to new business proposals
- Conducting audits to ensure compliance with electrical standards and quality procedures
You will need:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience across the full project lifecycle (Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC) within relevant industries
- Knowledge of HV and LV systems, and hazardous area equipment design
- Strong understanding of electrical design standards, safety, and legislation
- Excellent project management and report writing skills
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to travel when required
