Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting our client in the recruitment of a Production Planner to join their growing Operations team at their state-of-the-art facility.

Overview

This is a key role within a high-tech manufacturing environment, responsible for developing and coordinating production plans to support the delivery of advanced technology products. You will play a central role in ensuring efficient production flow, balancing customer demand, material availability and manufacturing capacity across multiple product lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production plans aligned with customer demand and operational priorities
  • Convert customer orders, forecasts and project requirements into achievable manufacturing schedules
  • Monitor material availability, capacity constraints and work-in-progress
  • Maintain accurate ERP/MRP planning data
  • Support daily and weekly production planning meetings, providing clear updates on progress, risks and priorities
  • Identify and elevate potential delivery risks, ensuring timely resolution
  • Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Project teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and schedule adherence
  • Contribute to improved production flow, visibility and operational efficiency

About You

  • Experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain or materials control within a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel capability
  • Good understanding of production flow, capacity planning and inventory/WIP management
  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Experience

  • Background in electronics, semiconductor, aerospace, defence or similar advanced manufacturing sectors
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), engineering change or production ramp-up activities
