Wolviston Management Services are supporting our client in the appointment of a skilled CNC Operator to join their established machining team. This vacancy has arisen due to a recent internal move, creating an opportunity for an experienced operator to contribute to a high-performing, quality-driven production environment.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for operating a range of CNC equipment to manufacture precision components, ensuring spindle time is maximised and output meets strict quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate high-speed CNC machines to carry out milling, drilling, tapping, grinding and related machining tasks.
  • Support wider machine shop operations through safe use and supervision of additional equipment.
  • Ensure all tooling, fixtures and CNC programmes are prepared and available prior to production.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including component quantities and scrap levels.
  • Uphold high standards of quality across all machined parts.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to deliver accurate machining outcomes.
  • Carry out basic programme edits and update tool tables where required.
  • Take ownership of component quality checks and documentation.
  • Monitor, check and replace tooling, cutters and consumables.
  • Prepare and load raw materials and components onto machines safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain lubricant levels and carry out routine machine checks.
  • Apply knowledge of 3-axis and 4-axis CNC machining processes, including Renishaw probing.
  • Adhere to all health, safety and operational procedures at all times.
