We are delighted to be recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – SEMH to join Wolverley CE Secondary School. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed, compassionate and resilient individual to play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs within a thriving and inclusive school community.

Responsibilities- Develop and deliver targeted interventions and personalised support for identified students
- Lead 1:1 and small group programmes, including social, emotional and academic interventions
- Support students in accessing the curriculum through adapted resources and structured learning activities
- Contribute to and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and specialist provision
- Work in partnership with parents/carers and external agencies
- Play a key role in developing and managing “The Bridge” learning space to support engagement and personal development
- Provide daily check‑in and reflection opportunities to support student wellbeing and readiness to learn
- Hold HLTA status (or equivalent) or be working towards it
- Have a strong understanding of SEMH, ASD and ADHD, and strategies to remove barriers to learning
- Have experience working with students with SEND and delivering interventions
- Be patient, empathetic and resilient, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Be committed to inclusive practice and continuous professional development
- Be willing to support the Christian ethos and values of the school
- Bring enthusiasm, initiative and a good sense of humour to the team
