Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Leadership: Set the long-term vision for analytics and translate it into clear quarterly roadmaps and operational plans. Build, mentor and grow a high-performing analytics team, including hiring, developing talent, and establishing operating rhythms that promote excellence, collaboration and accountability. Define measurement frameworks, KPI governance and data standards to ensure the business has consistent, trusted metrics. Champion a culture of data-driven decision making, improving data accessibility, literacy and adoption across all teams.
- Commercial & Customer Insights: Lead analysis across eCommerce, Stores, Product, Marketing and Customer Care to uncover opportunities that improve conversion, engagement, retention and lifetime value. Elevate customer and consumer insight across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring decisions are anchored in behavioural, transactional and journey-based data. Partner closely with Digital Product to design, measure and interpret experiments, feature impact and customer experience enhancements. Translate complex insights into compelling, action-oriented narratives for senior leaders, ensuring analytics informs business strategy and tactical execution.
- Analytics Delivery & Operational Excellence: Oversee the delivery of high-impact analytics workload, including ad-hoc analysis, diagnostic deep-dives, root cause investigations and risk assessments. Build and scale reporting, dashboards and self-serve tools that democratise data and empower teams to independently access insights. Maintain exceptional standards of clarity, speed and analytical rigor across all outputs. Ensure documentation, definitions and analytical processes support consistency and operational efficiency.
- Data, Technology & AI Partnership: Partner with global teams across Data Engineering, Data Products, Tech and AI to deliver robust, scalable data assets and analytical products. Own data quality oversight from the business side, ensuring accurate, complete and reliable data pipelines and definitions. Drive the responsible adoption of AI and advanced analytics techniques, ensuring best practice in model usage, automation, predictive analytics and decision-support tools. Evaluate new data capabilities, tools and technologies that can enhance the speed, depth and impact of the analytics function.
What We’re Looking For
- Technical & Analytical Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL and Python. Expertise in data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker). Experience working with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Databricks). Ability to interrogate multiple complex data sets, identify patterns and develop analytical frameworks that support decision-making.
- Leadership & Influence: Proven experience leading an analytics function within a scaling or global organisation. Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional partners with clear, compelling storytelling and evidence-led recommendations. Experience developing team capability, shaping career pathways and building a cohesive, empowered analytics culture.
- Commercial & Strategic Acumen: Deep understanding of how digital commerce, retail, product and marketing levers drive business performance. Strong ability to interpret KPIs and market signals, connect data points, and propose strategic actions that move the business forward. Comfort balancing strategic priorities with hands-on analytical involvement when needed.
