A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Design Assistant to join our talented design team. Reporting into an experienced Designer, you will be part of the team who design our product. You will be contributing to the impactful look of Sweaty Betty, which our loyal customers know and love.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the design team to create world class performance apparel through outstanding design by assisting across product lines on overview management, PLM maintenance, lab dip approvals, and general design assistance.
- Contributing toward creating design packs within Adobe Illustrator and working to internal deadlines/Critical Paths to ensure technical packs are completed and approved on time.
- Understanding our customer, how she wears Sweaty Betty, and keeping your finger on the pulse of our customer’s perspective on our product through store visits, trade analysis and customer feedback.
- Proactively building positive relationships with cross‑functional partners within buying, garment tech, product development and beyond to ensure efficient work‑flow and effective problem solving.
- Being aware of and contributing to the delivery of our organizational strategy, and individual goals.
- Being highly organised, with great time management; to provide effective administrative support and other responsibilities as appropriate.
- Leaning into being a self‑starter with a growth mindset, who is confident working solo, and an enthusiastic contributor to the team.
Must Haves
- Previous use of Illustrator essential & Adobe Suite preferred
- Good level of CAD drawing essential
- Basic understanding of Excel essential and Microsoft Suite/outlook
- Basic understanding of building and maintaining BOM’s within PLM preferred.
- Must have a degree in Fashion Design, or Fashion Sportswear
- Must be approachable, friendly and an excellent listener/communicator
