As a Senior Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in leading planning operations across multiple categories, supporting both operational and strategic leadership. You will be responsible for driving business performance through accurate forecasting, cross-functional collaboration, and team development, while representing the Planning function across the wider business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage planning for multiple categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives and KPIs.
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy of forecasting across your team, setting departmental KPIs and action plans.
- Represent the Planning function in cross-functional projects and collaborate with senior stakeholders (SLT/ELT) to influence business decisions.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for your department, acting autonomously and proactively to deliver results.
- Support and mentor team members, creating development plans and providing regular feedback to grow talent within the function.
The Must Haves:
- Strong leadership and autonomy: able to operate independently and confidently make strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Career background in Merchandising with at least 4 years of experience.
- Proactive and development-focused mindset, consistently seeking feedback and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborative and objective approach to managing differences of opinion and driving cross-functional outcomes.
