Support the Planning team in managing inventory, PO planning, and the complete product life cycle for the Wolverine brands. Responsibilities range from setting the products up on the system, converting buys to size level purchase orders, and negotiating delivery dates with the factories to communicating delivery performance to the customer service and sales team. The role is fundamentally responsible for supporting the team in demand and inventory planning by month and season for the European region.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Produce and distribute stock and inventory reports to support Sales Teams and Customer Services.
- Produce inbound and inventory reports to support period end analysis.
- Review regional forecasts, regional backlog, and historical product size curves to decide the best size curve to support forward and replenishment business.
- Raise and maintain Purchase Orders in SAP system.
- Maintain records of Warehouse and Volume Direct order books through Seasonal summary orders.
- Liaise daily with CPO office in China to achieve a smooth flow of production and ensure all production and pending issues are resolved.
- Negotiate and liaise with factories where lead-times are not met, ensuring that POs and capacity are prioritised to service on-time delivery and support business requirements.
- Identify, resolve, and communicate any production, shipping, or sourcing issues.
- Work with sales teams and finance to assess if air freighting stock is a viable option by exploring alternatives.
- Manage the air freight inbound stock from authorisation form to delivery when necessary.
- Work with customer services and warehousing to track key accounts and expedite shipments.
- Support queries from the CS and Sales teams.
- Maintenance and management of product set up in relevant systems.
- Order, track, and allocate New Season Samples to the sales teams across Europe.
- Suggest ways to improve inefficiencies and identify procedures that could be revised.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as requested from planners and line manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Enthusiastic and well organised.
- Good analytical skills.
- Minimum of two years Demand Plan/Wholesale experience (preferred).
- Computer literate.
- Good knowledge of Excel (V-look up and Pivot tables).
- SAP knowledge is preferred, but training will be given.
- Ability to communicate and interact with management, sales, customer service, factory personnel, warehousing personnel, and product development.
- Good Time Management Skills.
