Role Overview

This role focuses on translating business needs into effective, scalable technical solutions that support Wolverine Worldwide’s business units and enhance the customer experience. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will play a key role in understanding business requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring solutions are clearly defined and successfully delivered.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather and refine business needs, pain points and goals, challenging where needed to reach the right assumptions and objectives for success.
  • Facilitate and/or support sessions to analyze, define and prioritize gaps in the understanding of requirements, agreeing on outcomes to ensure robust requirement capture.
  • Assess new requirements and work requests with the team to determine approach, feasibility, and effort for prioritization activities, documenting assumptions, clarifications and dependencies.
  • Use appropriate techniques such as use cases, flows, diagrams and models to accurately capture requirements for stakeholder sign‑off and to equip technical delivery teams to deliver solutions.
  • Create User Stories, Spikes, Tasks, Test Logs and other artifacts as required to facilitate the development process, ensuring their quality aligns with the needs of the delivery team and business end users.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Engineers, QA and end users to ensure the right solution is used for the problem at hand.
  • Lead problem investigations based on challenges and issues raised by stakeholders to identify the best resolution, involving relevant team members as needed.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and other supporting activities.
  • Own the business process knowledge across systems, document existing and new solutions, and maintain relevant supporting materials.
  • Perform duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, a Business discipline or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience within e‑commerce, point‑of‑sale, consumer marketing and related platforms within a Retail business.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing and support on small to medium projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite is desirable.
  • Experience working independently or as part of a team of internal and external partners to agree on and produce project deliverables.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, priority‑setting, time‑management and organizational skills.
  • Hands‑on, pragmatic, results‑driven attitude.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key business stakeholders and cross‑functional IT teams.
  • Understanding of shifting priorities and deadlines; demonstrated ability to manage change and complete deliverables within assigned timelines.
