  • Duration: Over six consecutive weeks
  • Commitment: Requires three days in the first week
  • Placement: One or two days per week thereafter in a business area of your expressed interest

Overview

REACH is a six-week, free work experience programme for jobseekers aged 18-24 living in Wolverhampton. Through a combination of hands-on work experience and one-to-one employment support, you\'ll develop a range of skills that employers value, and your new CV and confident interview skills will help you to seal the deal!

Key benefits

  • Experience working across different teams and departments within Wolverhampton Homes or with one of our partners in the city.
  • Developing an understanding of different types of roles and the skills which are important for each one, e.g., customer service, administration, data analysis, communications and marketing, and human resources.
  • Gaining hands-on experience to apply your skills, develop confidence, and make meaningful contributions.
  • Spending three days during your first week with our Early Careers Coach, who will support you with identifying your skills, CV writing, finding and applying for jobs, mock interviews with feedback, and other one-to-one guidance.

What happens when I finish?

  • Receive a completion certificate and can quote Wolverhampton Homes as a reference on future job applications.
  • We will confirm you attended, were reliable and punctual, and participated fully in the course.
