You will help to create excitement that brings live entertainment to life. From collating digital assets to assisting with social media activity, you will gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, creative environment where no two days are the same.

About the Employer: Wolverhampton Grand Theatre have over 100 staff members, inclusive of permanent and zero hour staff. We have almost 300,000 people visit our theatre every year as we receive a wide range of touring productions including drama, musical, ballet, dance, opera, variety, children’s shows and pantomimes. We are a registered charity, but have all the characteristics of an entrepreneurial company; an intense desire to grow the business, an inherent sense of urgency, rapid decision making, and an 'open door' management approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Marketing Campaigns and Advertising: Support the delivery of marketing campaigns across the Grand Theatre’s programme, assisting with campaign administration, content creation and asset management. Manage the venue's digital advertising systems, ensuring content is current, accurate, and scheduled appropriately across all screens and digital displays. Assist with the implementation of outdoor advertising campaigns, including the coordination of artwork, copy deadlines and media schedules. Take ownership of regular marketing commitments, including What’s On advertising, house programmes, venue signage, and other recurring marketing activity.
  • Digital Marketing and Online Presence: Take ownership of the Grand Theatre website, ensuring show listings, event information and other content are accurate, up to date and published in a timely manner. Assist with social media activity, including content scheduling, content creation and campaign support across relevant platforms. Collate and organise digital assets for marketing campaigns, ensuring artwork, copy and supporting materials are stored and shared effectively.
  • Content Creation and Publications: Collate, proof and prepare content for in‑house publications. Liaise with visiting companies, producers, media partners and suppliers to obtain marketing materials and campaign information.
  • Inventory and Marketing Resources Management: Monitor and manage print stock levels, including brochures, flyers, posters and other marketing materials. Manage print inventory around the building ensuring everything displayed is current and accurate. Facilitate regular stock reports for external stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Attend departmental meetings, training sessions and theatre events as required, contributing positively to the work and marketing team. Support email marketing activity through Spektrix and Digital, assisting with the creation and scheduling of customer communications. Participate in departmental activities and contribute to wider organisational objectives.

The successful candidate should undertake these duties in compliance with company policies.

Training Outcome: Fixed term contract with the Grand Wolverhampton, the apprentice will be able to take these transferable skills gained into their next venture into the relevant field i.e. Business Administration / Marketing.
