The Corporate Strategy group at Wolters Kluwer reports to the CEO and Chair of the Executive Board and helps drive growth and strategic transformation across the company, through the Strategy Team, the Divisional Business Development Teams, the Corporate M&A Team, the Pricing Center of Excellence (CoE), and the Sales Transformation CoE. We are currently looking for a Pricing Strategy Manager to join our Pricing CoE.
About the Role: Our focus, in the Pricing CoE, spans an interesting mix of packaging & pricing strategy projects, SaaS migration projects, and other strategic monetization initiatives, across a wide variety of businesses in the Wolters Kluwer portfolio. The Pricing Strategy Manager will work with our Pricing Strategy Director to support and execute on strategic pricing initiatives that elevate Wolters Kluwer’s market presence as a leading B2B SaaS company. You will work with divisional teams, across GTM functions (e.g., product management, pricing, marketing, finance, sales) to deliver strategic pricing projects that harmonize and drive material impact across both product and regionally oriented go to market strategies, as well as support and help manage a global Pricing Community of Practice that fosters sharing pricing and go-to-market best practices across divisions and business units.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets (e.g., customer, financial, usage data) to drive pricing strategies.
- Perform financial modeling and price performance analysis to uncover opportunities for revenue, pricing and margin improvement.
- Conduct competitive and market analysis to understand pricing trends and opportunities.
- Conduct, manage and synthesize quantitative and qualitative research to validate packaging and pricing hypotheses, test price metrics and assess willingness-to-pay.
- Work closely with product management, marketing, sales, and finance to identify inefficiencies and promote change related to improving Wolters Kluwer’s GTM approaches around product positioning, packaging and pricing.
- Influence and advise cross-cultural & cross-functional teams leveraging strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Manage multiple workstreams against deliverables & timelines simultaneously involving multiple countries and/or stakeholders.
- Synthesize findings from multiple sources and complex analysis to develop fact-based, actionable recommendations supported by thought leadership.
Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or equivalent. Master’s degree in business, economics, or a quantitative discipline preferred.
- Minimum work experience of 4 - 5 years in a top pricing strategy consulting firm, or top strategy consulting firm with project experience in pricing.
- Experience in B2B software or digital information services preferred.
- Excellent conceptual problem solving skills and highly analytical thinker, with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to influence and lead projects across multiple business units, with willingness to operate as an individual contributor as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills and capable of interacting and communicating effectively at all levels of the organization through both written and verbal channels.
- Passion for commercial strategy and pricing.
Travel: Occasional project related travel, typically in Europe and North America; expect ~25% of travel time.
