Operations Assistant – Blackburn (BB1 2QU) – Managed Services

As an Operations Assistant based in our Blackburn branch, you\’ll be responsible for:

  • Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
  • Handling customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously
  • Working within the warehouse picking and packing customer orders (This will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets)
  • Booking stock in and putting it away in the designated location
  • Driving a 3.5T van delivering items to our customers (relief cover)

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07.30am – 4.30pm.

  • Experience in a merchant background
  • A full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Confidence to interact with customers
  • Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic to assist in all areas of the branch
  • Computer literacy
