As an Operations Assistant based in Reading, you’ll be responsible for:
- General Warehouse duties
- Picking and packing stock, which will involve heavy lifting and manual handling of heavy items like boilers, radiators, toilets etc.
- Loading/unloading vehicles safely
- Ensuring the workplace is tidy and adheres to our health and safety procedures
- Supporting the Trade Counter as required providing exceptional customer service at all times
The role is a full-time, permanent position, 40hrs per week, Monday-Friday 07:00-16:00. Alternate Saturdays 08:00-12:00 after probation, paid as overtime.
Here’s what we’d like you to have:
- Experience working in a warehouse or similar environment
- Full UK manual driving license is preferable - to cover driver holidays
- Able to handle a physically demanding job
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in customer interactions
- Dependable team player, prepared to support in all areas of the branch with a strong work ethic
- Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
