As a Team Supervisor based in our Norwich branch you’ll be responsible for:
- Assisting the Branch Manager/Branch Supervisor with the day-to-day running and operations within the branch and taking charge when they are not available.
- Supervising and supporting colleagues, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to achieve targets and goals.
- Mainly office based, servicing customers via phones and emails.
- Serving customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge.
This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 07:00 AM - 17:00 PM and Saturday on a rota basis 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
Here’s what we’d like you to have:
- Health and safety requirements, particularly in first aid, manual handling, fire situations, and appropriate mechanical handling.
- Knowledge of transport legislation.
- Confidence in working with and interpreting numerical and written information.
- Knowledge of proactive and advanced sales techniques, merchandising, and ways to maximise margin.
- Familiarity with the specific product lines stocked by the branch and Wolseley systems.
- Understanding of branch administration, audit trail, supply chain, and policies.
- IT Systems: use Microsoft packages for creating documents and working with data.
