As a Sales Assistant based in our Northampton branch, you'll be responsible for:
- Driving a 3.5t van for branch deliveries and collections to local customers
- Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
- Handling customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive, proactive attitude, building strong customer relationships and ensuring excellent customer service
- Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse
This is a full-time, 40 hour permanent role - Monday to Friday between 6:30am - 3:30pm and one Saturday per month, 08:00 - 12:00pm (paid as overtime) once trained.
Here's what we'd like you to have:
- Knowledge in plumbing & heating is beneficial
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Proven experience in a face-to-face sales/customer service position
- Confident with van driving
- Great communication skills and a customer-first approach
- Great team player and willing to support in all areas of the branch
