As a Sales Assistant based in a brand new branch we are opening in Leicester, you'll be responsible for:
- Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
- Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales, particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending
- Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking and packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets
- Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch
- Providing cover driving a 3.5T van delivering plumbing and heating supplies to our customers in the local area
This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday between 07.30am - 5.00pm and Saturdays on a rota basis 8.00am - 12.00pm.
Here's what we'd like you to have:
- Full UK Driving Licence is preferable
- Prior industry experience would be advantageous
- Previous face-to-face customer service is essential
- Prior warehouse experience would be ideal
- Willingness to work as part of a team and to take on a diverse role
- Proactive and eager to learn, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic
