Sales Assistant (20 hours) - Rotherham - Plumb Centre

As a Sales Assistant based in Rotherham, you will be responsible for:
- General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems, putting it away, and picking & packing customer orders which will involve manual handling of heavy items.
- Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email, providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
- Driving a Luton style van with tail lift delivering plumbing and heating supplies to our customers.
This is a full-time permanent role working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am till 12.00pm. There is flexibility with the working pattern and this can be discussed at interview.
Here’s what we’d like you to have:
- Prior industry/merchant experience would be advantageous.
- Previous face-to-face sales and customer service experience.
- Warehouse experience.
- To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
- Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
- To be comfortable lifting heavy items.
- Full UK driving licence.
