As an Operations Supervisor based in Plymouth, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Branch Manager with daily operational activities, ensuring the branch runs smoothly and efficiently
- Overseeing the warehouse and yard to ensure safe, compliant handling and storage of materials
- Supervising, motivating, and developing branch staff, ensuring high performance and teamwork
- Assisting with invoicing and account queries and contributing to business planning activities
- Maintaining fleet of vehicles
- Ensuring all picking/loading of deliveries is done in a timely manner
- Forklift training provided
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00. No weekend working.
Here’s what we’d like you to have:
- Team leader or management experience in a warehouse or operations environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes, including goods in/out, stock control, and order fulfilment
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a small team to achieve performance targets
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and adapt to changing priorities
