As a Warehouse Team Leader based in Darlington, you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and motivating a team of warehouse operatives to achieve and exceed KPIs and deliver excellent customer service.
- Ensuring all operational processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Managing all aspects of people leadership, including performance reviews, absence management, holiday approvals, and training.
- Maintaining stock integrity through cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, and correct product handling.
- Coordinating daily workflow and resource deployment to meet service targets, ensuring smooth operational flow across picking, packing, replenishment, and loading.
The role is full-time, working 37.5 hours a week between 6 am and 2 am.
Here’s what we’d like you to have:
- Proven experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory role within a high-volume, service-focused warehouse environment.
- Strong people management skills, including coaching, training, and handling performance and disciplinary processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively influence and resolve issues.
- Competent in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF technology.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping while driving operational efficiency.
