Responsibilities

  • Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
  • Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
  • Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales, particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending.
  • Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.
  • Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch.

Qualifications

  • Prior industry or trade experience is advantageous.
  • Previous face-to-face customer service/sales experience is essential.
  • Willingness to work as a part of a team and to take on a diverse role.
  • Proactive and eager to learn, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday – Friday between 07:30 a.m. – 05:00 p.m. and the occasional Saturday 08:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
