Position: Sales Assistant – Bangor (LL57 4YH) – Plumb Centre

Responsibilities:
- Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
- Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales, particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending
- General warehouse duties including picking and packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets
- Potentially covering for the driver when they are on holiday by driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies to customers including building sites, businesses and private residences
- Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch
This is a full‑time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday – Friday 08:00–17:00, with Saturday on a rota basis 08:00–12:00.
Qualifications:
- Full UK driving licence (preferential)
- Prior industry experience would be advantageous
- Previous face‑to‑face customer service/sales experience is essential
- Prior warehouse experience would be ideal
- Willingness to work as part of a team and to take on a diverse role
- Proactive and eager to learn, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic
