As a 3.5T Delivery Driver based in Stevenage, you’ll be responsible for:
- Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies local to the branch, within a 30-40 mile radius.
- The number of deliveries will vary day to day.
- Carrying out vehicle checks.
- Loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets and sinks.
- Assisting in the warehouse if back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying.
- Assisting on the trade counter when deliveries are quiet.
This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week, working Monday to Friday starting at either 07.30am or 08:00am.
And here’s what we’d like you to have:
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
- Previous multidrop driving is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with PDA devices.
- To be a team player who is happy to assist in the warehouse and trade counter to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
- Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
