As a Sales Assistant based in Brighton, you'll be responsible for:

  • Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
  • Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
  • Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending.
  • Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.
  • Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies to our customers including building sites, business and private residences.
  • Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch.

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 07:30-16:30 or 08:00-17:00 with 1hrs break and 2 in 7 Saturday 08:00-12:00 paid as overtime.

And here's what we'd like you to have:

  • A Full UK Manual Driving Licence would be advantageous.
  • Prior industry or trade experience would be advantageous.
  • Previous Face to Face customer service/sales experience is essential.
  • Prior warehouse experience would be ideal.
  • Willingness to work as a part of a team and to take on a diverse role.
  • Proactive and eager to learn, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
