As a Sales Assistant based in Bangor, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
  • Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
  • Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending
  • General warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets
  • Potentially covering for the driver when they are on holiday driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies to our customers including building sites, business and private residences
  • Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday between 08.00am - 5.00pm and Saturday on a rota basis 08.00am - 12.00pm.

And here’s what we’d like you to have:

  • A Full UK Driving Licence is preferential
  • Prior industry experience would be advantageous
  • Previous Face to Face customer service/sales experience is essential
  • Prior warehouse experience would be ideal
  • Willingness to work as a part of a team and to take on a diverse role
  • Proactive and eager to learn, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic
