As a Sales Assistant based in Whitby you’ll be responsible for:

  • Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
  • Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
  • General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems and putting it away, and picking & packing customer orders which will involve manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets, sinks etc.

This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00am to 05:00pm and 1 in 2 Saturdays, working 08:00am – 12:00pm, paid as overtime.

Requirements:

  • UK driving licence will be preferential.
  • Previous face‑to‑face sales and customer service experience.
  • To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
  • Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable lifting heavy items.
