Responsibilities

  • Assist the Branch Manager with the day‑to‑day running and operations within the small branch.
  • Supervise and support branch staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Serve customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge.
  • Build rapport with customers and suppliers, respond to any queries and process sales.
  • Perform general warehouse duties – goods in/out, picking and packing customer orders.

This is a full‑time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 07.30am – 05.00pm and Saturday on a rota basis 08.00am – 12.00pm.

Qualifications

  • Previous industry or merchant experience preferable.
  • Prior experience as a supervisor in a face‑to‑face customer service/sales environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with customers.
  • Team player willing to take on diverse roles to ensure the branch runs smoothly.
  • Keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable lifting heavy items.
