As a Delivery Driver 3.5t based in Sittingbourne you’ll be responsible for:

  • Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies mainly within an 80 mile radius of the branch.
  • The number of deliveries will vary day to day from 10 to 30 mainly to new build construction sites but also residential customers and other businesses.
  • Carrying out vehicle checks.
  • Loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets and sinks.
  • Assisting in the warehouse if back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00am – 4:00pm (with flexibility). No weekend work required.

Qualifications:

  • Full clean UK Manual Driving Licence.
  • Previous multidrop driving is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with PDA devices.
  • To be a team player who is happy to assist in the warehouse to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
  • Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
