Role Details
As a 3.5T Delivery Driver based in Send, Surrey you’ll be responsible for:
- Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies mainly within an 80‑mile radius of the branch
- The number of deliveries will vary day‑to‑day, mainly to new‑build construction sites but also residential customers and other businesses
- Carrying out vehicle checks
- Loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets and sinks
- Assisting in the warehouse if back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying
This is a permanent position working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00 – 13:00.
What we’d like you to have:
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Previous multi‑drop driving is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with PDA devices
- To be a team player who is happy to assist in the warehouse to ensure the smooth running of the branch
- Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic
