Role: Operations Assistant

As an Operations Assistant based in Arbroath, you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

  • Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their needs and providing product recommendations
  • Responding to customer enquiries via telephone promptly and courteously
  • Giving price quotations to customers
  • Working within the warehouse (manual handling of heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets)
  • Loading and unloading stock
  • Booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away in the designated location
  • Picking and packing customer orders with accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintaining high standards of H&S within the warehouse

This is a permanent position working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday 08.00am – 5.00pm.

Qualifications / What we’d like you to have

  • Plumbing and heating industry or merchant experience is beneficial
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Confidence to interact with customers
  • Dependable, hardworking team player who is open to learning to support in all areas of the branch
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude
