Responsibilities

  • Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
  • Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
  • Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales, particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending.
  • Assisting with general warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away in the warehouse, which will involve manual handling of heavy items.
  • Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch.

This is a full‑time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 07:00‑17:00 with a 1 hour break. No weekend work required.

Requirements

  • Prior industry or trade experience would be ideal.
  • Previous face‑to‑face customer service/sales experience is essential.
  • To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
  • Willingness to work as a part of a team and to take on a diverse role.
  • Keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • To be comfortable lifting heavy items.
