Responsibilities
- Serve customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email, providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
- Handle general warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems and putting it away, and picking & packing customer orders that involve manual handling of heavy items.
- Occasionally drive a 3.5T van to deliver goods to customers in the local area.
This is a full‑time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00.
Qualifications
- A full UK 3‑point manual driving licence.
- Prior industry/merchant experience is advantageous.
- Previous face‑to‑face sales and customer‑service experience.
- Warehouse experience.
- A team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
- Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable lifting heavy items.
