As a Sales Assistant based in Harrow you’ll be responsible for:
- Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email, providing quotes promptly and courteously with a proactive attitude.
- General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems, putting it away and picking & packing customer orders which will involve manual handling of heavy items.
- Key holder opening and closing the branch.
This is a full‑time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00 am to 5.00 pm. No weekend working.
Qualifications and skills we’d like you to have:
- Prior industry/merchant experience would be advantageous.
- Previous face‑to‑face sales and customer service experience.
- Warehouse experience.
- To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
- Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable lifting heavy items.
- Driving licence preferred.
