Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical site surveys, agree system specifications with installers and homeowners, produce on‐site quotations, commission Air Source Heat Pump systems, complete system handovers and resolve technical issues through remedial visits.
  • Produce accurate room‐by‐room heat loss calculations, create technical proposals and system performance estimates, compile detailed quotes/proposals for the sales team and ensure all documentation is uploaded to the CRM system.
  • Act as the Nominated Technical Supervisor for all regional MCS projects, ensuring every subcontracted installation adheres to MCS standards and Building Regulations.
  • Provide phone‐based and remote technical support, maintain strong working relationships with assigned installers and act as a consistent technical point of contact.

This is a full‐time, permanent, field‐based role working 42.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between 8 am – 5 pm.

Qualifications

  • Plumbing & Heating: Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.
  • Heat Pumps: LCL/BPEC Heat Pump Design & Installation.
  • Compliance: G3 Unvented Hot Water, WRAS, and comprehensive knowledge of MCS standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in low‐temperature hydraulic design and electrical fault‐finding.
  • Soft Skills: A consultative mindset with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights for non‐technical customers.
  • Logistics: Based in/around East London or Ipswich, with willingness to travel and occasional overnight stays.
