As a Sales Assistant based in Exmouth, you’ll be responsible for:
- Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
- Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales, particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending.
- Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.
- Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies to our customers including building sites, business and private residences.
- Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch.
This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday between 08:00 and 17:00 and 1 in 3 Saturday 08:00 - 12:00 once fully trained.
Qualifications:
- A Full UK Manual Driving Licence is required.
- Prior industry experience would be advantageous.
- Previous Face to Face customer service/sales experience is essential.
- Prior warehouse experience would be ideal.
- Willingness to work as a part of a team and to take on a diverse role.
- Proactive and eager to learn, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
