Responsibilities:
- Serve customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
- Proactively contact customers to build relationships and drive branch growth, focusing on those with reduced or inactive spending.
- Perform general warehouse duties including picking and packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries and ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch.
- Manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.
This is a full‑time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday‑Friday between 07.30am‑5pm and alternate Saturdays 08.00am‑12.00pm.
Qualifications:
- Prior face‑to‑face sales and customer service experience.
- Warehouse experience is preferred.
- Willingness to work as a part of a team and to take on a diverse role.
- Keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable lifting heavy items.
- A full UK driving licence is preferred.
