As a Warehouse Operative based in Cumbernauld, you’ll be responsible for:
- Completing general warehouse duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Serving customers at the trade counter (warehouse) and handling collection requests as required by the Warehouse Supervisor / Warehouse Manager.
- Ensuring that all incoming deliveries comply with delivery paperwork, handling discrepancies appropriately, and putting away items in a timely manner in accordance with procedures.
- Picking and packing items to fulfil customer orders and preparing for dispatch as per customer requirements, which will involve manual handling of heavy items (e.g. boilers, sinks, radiators, toilets).
- Liaising with drivers to load vehicles effectively and in accordance with run sheets.
- Checking picked orders prior to collection or dispatch.
- Complying with Company and Depot policies, particularly Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
This is a Full Time permanent position working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday 08:00am - 05:00pm.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a busy warehouse environment.
- Be willing to move between tasks as needed by the business.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn, including completion of necessary training (forklift licence training will be provided).
- A strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
