Responsibilities:

  • Drive a 3.5T van with a tail lift to deliver large and heavy plumbing and heating supplies mainly within the CT postcode area.
  • Carry out deliveries to customers including building/construction sites, social housing and the general public.
  • Load and unload deliveries, manually handling heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets and sinks.
  • Assist in the warehouse with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying when not driving.
  • Carry out vehicle checks.
  • Potentially serve customers at the trade counter.

Qualifications:

  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
  • Previous multidrop delivery and experience of driving a 3.5T van.
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team player willing to assist in the warehouse to ensure smooth running of the branch.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:30–16:30. No weekend work required except during stocktake season.
