Role Overview
As a 3.5T Delivery Driver based in Aberystwyth you’ll be responsible for:
- Driving a 3.5T Automatic van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies to our customers. The number of deliveries will vary day to day.
- Carrying out vehicle checks.
- Loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets and sinks.
- Assisting in the warehouse when back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying.
- Assisting on the trade counter when deliveries are quiet.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:30am - 4:30pm and one in three Saturdays, 8:00 - 12:00, paid as overtime.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Previous multidrop driving is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with PDA devices
- To be a team player who is happy to assist in the warehouse to ensure the smooth running of the branch
- Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic
