We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team in Northampton. As a Service Advisor, you will be the key link between our customers and our workshop team. You'll ensure every customer receives a professional, friendly and seamless experience - from booking their vehicle in, through to collection.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming customers and providing a warm, professional first point of contact
- Booking vehicles into the workshop and accurately recording customer requirements
- Discussing servicing, maintenance and repair requirements with customers
- Preparing and explaining estimates and keeping customers informed throughout the repair process
- Liaising closely with technicians and the workshop team to ensure work is completed efficiently
- Providing regular updates to customers regarding the progress of their vehicle
- Advising customers on additional work or maintenance requirements identified during inspections
- Ensuring all customer expectations are managed and met
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all work is invoiced correctly
- Delivering an outstanding customer experience at every stage.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within automotive aftersales
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Has a strong attention to detail
- Is commercially aware and confident discussing costs and additional work with customers
- Takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service
