This role plays a critical part in Wolfspeed’s mission to scale world‑class silicon carbide technology safely, reliably, and sustainably.
In your role as a Quality Systems Technician, you will support key quality business processes by preparing, maintaining, and tracking critical documentation within the Quality Management System.
Working cross‑functionally with Quality, Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Project Management teams, you will help ensure customer requirements, product change communications, compliance activities, and quality documentation are managed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Product Change Notification (PCN) activities by preparing, organizing, and maintaining customer‑facing documentation in collaboration with Quality Engineers and key stakeholders.
- Track and communicate the status of open PCNs, ensuring customer responses are documented accurately and implementation milestones are achieved.
- Review, organize, and integrate Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs) into internal procedures to support compliance across manufacturing operations.
- Assist with PPAP package compilation, collecting and coordinating quality documentation including FMEAs, Control Plans, MSA studies, and capability data for customer submissions.
- Support customer surveys, product compliance requests, and supplier data collection activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
- Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Quality, Business Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related technical discipline, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, or similarly regulated environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, document control practices, and structured process documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks while maintaining accountability for deadlines and deliverables.
- Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing business priorities.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the semiconductor industry, semiconductor materials, or wafer fabrication environments.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 9001, or other recognized quality management systems.
- Working knowledge of quality core tools including FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans.
- Experience supporting customer quality documentation, compliance activities, or product change management processes.
