We are looking for a highly organised, proactive Business Development professional to join our team, to be responsible for managing and developing our work with Government, education and training providers at all levels, as well as assessment bodies and content delivery companies worldwide. The successful candidate will have a STEM background, gained through education or relevant professional experience.
Reports to: CEO
Responsibilities:
- Developing strategy for researching existing and new leads
- Building and managing stakeholder relationships across technical, Government, education and training providers
- Pro-active account planning and delivery to achieve set targets and produce continued growth
- Co-ordinating with team to arrange demonstrations, talks and other events
- Tracking and providing reports on progress
Required/Ideal Skills:
- Educated to degree level in a technical subject would be an advantage, e.g. maths, physics, engineering, computer science, or related technical or quantitative field
- Proven track record in sales in a similar industry – 2 years minimum preferred
- Target orientated and capable of working under pressure on own initiative, often on multiple projects
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, organisational and negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical and presentation skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to network
- A high level of numeracy and attention to detail will be required
It is also desirable to have the following:
- Clear understanding of computational thinking processes
- The ability to code
- An understanding of software or content production processes
- An appreciation of user experience and design
