Launched in June 2020, Wolfe Vets is independently owned, with RCVS accredited small animal veterinary care based in Chiswick and Fulham. We offer an exceptional standard of round the clock care, with referral treatments and facilities, as well as all the routine consultations, health checks and procedures expected at a family vet.

Alongside our exceptional team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of visiting specialists that are all advanced certificate holders in their chosen fields which is an exciting part of our team’s development allowing the exposure to complex cases.

You are an experienced, confident and able veterinary surgeon who is used to managing cases from first consultation through full diagnostic work. Proven experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of outcomes, including hospitalising patients and monitoring them during hospitalisation.

  • Pinnectomy, grid keratotomy, enucleation and eyelid surgery.
  • Dental expertise: the ability to take and interpret dental X-rays, perform surgical and closed extractions.
  • Competent in use of ultrasound: Able to diagnose cruciate disease and elbow dysplasia and hip dysplasia on clinical exam and follow up radiography.
  • Excellent clinical record keeping.

  • Arthroscopy
  • Intra-thoracic surgery
  • Total hip replacement
  • Intra-ocular surgery
  • Adrenal, pancreatic, GI and cardiac ultrasound
  • Advanced ophthalmology examinations and surgical procedures
  • Liver lobectomy, GI stapling, nephrectomy, adrenalectomy, colectomy, anal gland excision, perineal hernia repair, colposuspension, urethrotomy(ostomy).
  • Endoscopy: experience in airway and GI
  • Echocardiography
  • Orthopaedic surgery: fracture repair & luxation procedures via bone plating, ex-fix, IM Pin TPLO, TTA, MPL techniques
  • Official veterinarian status (strongly preferred)

Personal qualities: You are capable of a wide variety of surgeries, but still enjoy all types of clinical work. Confident in diagnostics, medical case management and patient care, you have developed a strong reputation in your current clinic for reliability, expertise and good outcomes. Flexible and adaptable (both in responding to last minute emergencies/ change of plans and understanding the pressure on others in such moments). Kind & compassionate to pets, owners and colleagues alike.

Hours & facilities: The role is mainly daytime working, but on occasion (e.g.: staff sickness, holidays or unavoidable emergencies) you may be required to cover out of hours patient care or emergencies. Work takes place in our purpose-built clinic on Chiswick High Road, Chiswick and in our purpose-built hospital on Wandsworth Bridge Road, Fulham.

  • Separate spacious dog and cat wards
  • A large central patient hub
  • Rigid endoscopy, bronchoscope, gastroscope, digital display
  • Anaesthetic patient monitors including two capnographs
  • Extensive surgical instrumentation including: DR digital radiography
  • Two ultrasound units (cart and portable)
  • Cash contributions to routine medical care and treatments (e.g.: dental appointments, opticians etc)
  • Discounted pet food and veterinary services for own pets
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Additional annual leave after two years of employment (increasing by a day a year to a maximum of 30 days per annum)
  • Birthday off- If it falls on a weekday
