About us: Launched in June 2020, Wolfe Vets is independently owned, with RCVS accredited small animal veterinary care based in Chiswick and Fulham. We offer an exceptional standard of round the clock care, with referral treatments and facilities, as well as all the routine consultations, health checks and procedures expected at a family vet. The role: This role requires an enthusiastic, registered veterinary nurse to form part of our highly skilled and friendly team at Wolfe Vets. This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys using their initiative and is able to work accurately, to a high standard, ensuring the best care is given to our patients and clients.

Role responsibilities:

• Anaesthesia. We are invested in offering anaesthesia at a level that is higher than most GP practices. Full training will be given in this area.
• Inpatient care. We welcome nursing input on patient care and use digital monitoring for clear accurate care plans.
• Dentistry. Training will be given in taking full mouth radiographs and scale & polishing.
• Radiography & CT scanning.
• Use and maintenance of Idexx lab machines.
• Admissions and nurse consults.

Preferred experience (training can be provided):

• Orthopaedic surgical nursing.
• Chemotherapy nursing.
• Capnography/ECG/Ventilator knowledge.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional care to our patients.
• Collaborative, you enjoy working with others in a supportive team environment.
• A strong communicator, you understand the importance of keeping everyone updated.
• The ability to multi-task, managing several demands simultaneously.
• Flexible and adaptable.
• Kind & compassionate to pets, owners and colleagues alike.
• Good humoured, you have a positive ‘can do’ outlook.

The role is mainly daytime working, as we have a fully staffed night team, but on occasion (e.g.: staff sickness, holidays or unavoidable emergencies) you may have the opportunity to cover out of hours patient care or emergencies. Work takes place in our purpose-built clinic on Chiswick High Road, Chiswick and in our purpose-built hospital on Wandsworth Bridge Road, Fulham.
