The Contract Engineer role holds responsibilities throughout the lifecycle of the order for isolation valves to ensure that the products are delivered as per contractual requirements and within the requested timescale. You will work directly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all project activity is regularly reported to the client and performed as per agreed technical specifications and project terms and conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the correct interdisciplinary interaction for the project goals through initiation and leading contract kick off meetings and subsequent contract review meetings.
  • Review of contract, scope, technical documentation, and project phases against quotation on pricing and payment terms, contractual terms and conditions, technical specification, documentation requirements and export compliance.
  • Knowledge of the design specifications in order to provide customer with technical support during the project execution.
  • Order handling: Order interpretation, entry to computer system, commercial and technical documentation, inter departmental/supplier liaison, expediting, dealing with visiting inspectors, shipping.
  • Regularly produce open order reports to assigned customer.
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining project timescales and documentation through project progress against production schedule as agreed by the customer.
  • Responsible of pre-inspection meeting (where applicable) between the customer and Flowserve quality department.
  • Responsible for validation of availability for standard products for proposed application solutions.
  • Handle any changes to specification in situations arising for incorrect identification.
  • Conduct work in compliance with industry codes and standards and Flowserve processes.
  • Maintenance of project records and folders.

Requirements:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering.
  • Proven project management experience and qualification.
  • Experience in leading contract reviews.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence.
  • Able to prioritise a heavy and variable workload.
  • Flexible individual with a positive and proactive responsive approach.
  • Computer literate, with emphasis on MS Office and SAP.
