From our offices & warehouse located near Berkswell, we supply leading multiple & independent retailers across the UK with barbecues and accessories. A great opportunity has arisen to join the UK subsidiary of a long established international Canadian manufacturing business in a varied and challenging position.
Job Purpose
As a warehouse assistant, you will assist with the efficient and organized movement of goods within the warehouse. You will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing orders for shipment, processing incoming goods and reworking products. In addition, you may support at events and trade shows and the sales office with administrative and sales support duties.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Assist with booking container arrivals and unloading these containers using forklift, pallet truck and/or other equipment.
- Picking and packing outgoing goods.
- Assist in booking transportation collections and deliveries to customers.
- Process returned goods.
- Rework products on parts if necessary and record quality issues/problems.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Proficient in warehouse management software and MS Office.
- Valid counterbalance FLT license.
- Possess a valid, clean driver's license and have own transport.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and hands-on mentality.
We Offer
- 7 month fixed term contract, full-time position (37.5 hours per week).
- Salary up to £25,000, depending on experience (pro rata).
- 27 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata).
