We are currently recruiting for Food Technology Teachers as we are experiencing a shortage. Our schools will want high quality teachers to cover daily, short and long term roles.
As a supply teacher you will have a range of options to work as much or as little as you like. The roles can fit around you and your needs, allowing you to be in control of your work/life balance.
You can work as daily cover only, covering a day or two, possibly a week of short term needs. Planning and marking is not usually required, giving you the opportunity to work with numerous teachers and experience a range of schools. You have the freedom to work where you want, as much or as little as you want as daily cover.
Many teachers enjoy this type of work as it offers the chance to work in the classroom and enjoy teaching without the extra workload of marking/planning and taking work home.
Short term and long term roles are different from daily cover. You will be covering the same classes and are usually expected to do all aspects of the teaching role, including planning, marking, parents evening, etc., and immerse yourself in full school life. It is a chance to settle yourself in a school and have your own class, creating a positive rapport and learning environment for the children in your care. You will have the opportunity to see them flourish as their ongoing teacher throughout your time at the school.
