This job is an exciting opportunity available for a Project Manager to join our Business Change Team here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a Full-Time, 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
This role sits at the heart of the Council's Organisational Productivity Programme - a strategic response to the increasing financial and operational pressures facing local government. With rising demand in key services such as adult and children's social care, ongoing inflationary pressures, and limited funding growth, the Council is undertaking significant transformation to ensure long-term sustainability, including delivering substantial savings over the coming years.
As the Project Manager, you will ensure the successful delivery and monitoring of projects across the organisation. You will engage with cross-functional senior stakeholders to drive progress, ensure strong governance, maintain clear and transparent reporting, escalate issues where required, mitigate risks, and support effective change management.
