We have an excellent opportunity for a SENDIASS 0-25 Coordinator to join our SENDIASS Team here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a Permanent, Full-time basis. As SENDIASS 0-25 Coordinator, you will support the team in delivering and developing the SENDIASS service in accordance with the Children and Families Act 2014 and the revised SEN Code of Practice.
You will focus on extending our reach to meet the specific needs of children and young people aged 0-25 through dedicated casework, designing and delivering workshops, and creating accessible resources that engage young people with diverse needs. This role requires a proactive approach to empowering young people to confidently articulate their views on their support needs and future, while ensuring their voices are central to service planning and delivery.
You will build effective partnerships with local schools, colleges, health services, and voluntary organisations, and assist in delivering training sessions for parents, carers, and professionals across the borough. You’ll maintain high standards of impartiality, keep abreast of SEND legislation and regional developments, and promote the service locally through conferences, social media, and the local offer.
