Assistant Team Manager (Here4U team)

Wokingham Borough Council is transitioning through a planned phase of redesign, in line with the National Reforms. We have an opening for an Assistant Team Manager to join our Children We Care For team (Here4U). The role will support the team by fostering child‑centred systemic practice and delivering strong line management leadership skills.

Responsibilities

The main focus of this role is to manage a small team of Social Workers who ensure that children’s needs are met with long‑term aspirations for their lives. As assistant team manager, you will support your team through a period of change as an informed and experienced professional, and work alongside other Social Work teams in a collaborative and energetic way.

  • Salary: £52,414 – £56,732 (plus additional £3k market supplement).
